My name is Giel van Doorn, a journalist with a love for nature and a passion for storytelling. I work as an editor for the Dutch television programme 3 op Reis (BNNVARA) and, since June 2025, as a freelance journalist and filmmaker.

I am drawn to stories about nature, people and the often-overlooked. Whether it's a person, an animal or a place, I have a soft spot for those whose voices are rarely heard. Through both written journalism and documentary filmmaking, I aim to bring those stories to a wider audience.
